UPDATE 01-22-2010: Church Service Cancelled

12:30 pm - 2:00 pm - Memorial service for Families of Alaska Flight 261 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church --- CANCELLED

Due to some scheduling conflicts, the Special Ecumenical Memorial Service at “St. Maximilian Kolbe Church” has been cancelled. Because of the cancellation, folks should figure out a time they want to visit the Cemetery “Valley Oaks Memorial Park in Westlake Village”.

The Ecumenical Service will now be at Port Hueneme Beach next to the Monument.

The Ecumenical Service will begin at 11am on Sunday, January 31, 2010.

Depending on the weather, we have a backup venue in place for both Ecumenical Service (11am) and the 10th Anniversary Memorial (3pm) on Jan 31st. The possible venue is “Ocean View Pavilion”.

The “Ocean View Pavilion” is located across the street from the Monument and parking lot.

Accommodations

Please don’t forget to book your rooms at the Country Inn and Suites if possible, using the website address www.countryinns.com/familiesflight261

The Country Inn and Suites in Port Hueneme is where most of the family members stay when down for the memorials, and they are offering a special rate online through the above website, and want to make it easy this way to book your rooms.
